It has been years (decades?) since I've done wall sculpture. As part of my diploma program at the Toronto School of Art, I took a wall sculpture course. Using found objects, chicken wire, or wood, I made various sculptures that were mounted to the wall casting fascinating shadows.
I've been a little obsessed lately designing and making a variety of things to cut with my Silhouette Cameo 4. I designed a vase, leaves, and a lizard to go with the flowers. These were initially designed as stencils and used to print onto fabric. However, I decided to re-purpose the motifs and cut out the shapes using cardstock and layered different cutouts to create a sort of relief sculpture. I used blue reusable putty to stick the components onto the wall. I really liked working with cardstock and mounting the design to the wall; maybe it's time to return to wall sculpture using cardstock as my medium!
